Our Home/Garden Update

Well if you have read the other post you will see that we had lots of things we was going to do in our garden, somethings we did and somethings we didn't and some things still need doing. Its still a work in progress. In this post I will show you what has been achieved so far since you last saw it.

 In photo no.1 this is where we left off in our previous post so I thought it only wise to start back at the beginning.

 In photo no.2 you can see that we put the fence up and put in a border to outline the lawn boundaries, grass needs feeding and planting and more clean up work to come.

 In photo no.3 you can see that the bottom of the garden is now fully cleared, the central piece has been added, borders have been added and plants have been added.

 In photo no.4 you can see the garden coming along lovely now, we have added 3 fruit trees to the left borders and put in railway sleepers as edging, Down at the bottom we have a hand built, with my fair hands and some help from Clark ;) , a pergola some decking and a summer house. The pergola has railway sleepers ontop of tree stumps for seating, I have also put a chalk board area for the grandkids, which is used very often, by the adults too :)

As you can see it is a stoned area in between the two sections this was because i had dug a hole 8ft deep x 8ft wide and 16ft in length for a concrete fish pond, this was soon filled back up after seeing the costs of the concrete :( gutted.

 In photo no.5 can see where the garden is at this year, a small picket fence has gone up, to segregate the garden from the entertainment area as I am calling it ;) and it keeps people of the grass :)

I still have plans for adding and altering certain sections of the garden, for example in Photo no.5 I want to add a bar to the top left section of the pergola, I want more seating, I want a brick BBQ which has my gas BBQ incorporated into aswel as having a charcoal one.

We are now Grandparents

Yip you heard it right Michelle and I are now Grandparents, now I know I may have mentioned it in a previous post but I think this deserves its own post so here it is.

Clark and Simone had a baby boy on the 3rd September 2013. They have called him Thomas, he is really gorgeous, but since my previous post Chantelle has also had a baby boy born on the 7th October 2014 and Chantelle and Lee have called him Jayden, another gorgeous baby to our collection of grandsons.

Both of them have included my name in the boys names as a sign of respect to me, and that was very touching and certainly brought tears to my eyes. I must be doing something right :).  We have both the boys every 2nd Friday  and it is always exciting and full of fun and laughs had by all. They boys enjoy coming here and are always excited when they come over. Hours of endless fun playing with shapes, batman cave and the toy vehicles in the garden, they love it that much they hate going to bed the little buggers.

The photos above are from when Thomas was born, he was 4 weeks premature. He was so delicate, even I was scared to him being heavy handed that I am lol, Michelle was such a natural, but I expected no less really seeing as Clark himself was also prematurely born. Clark has taken to father hood like duck to water, he loves it. Simone and Clark have now moved to a much better house and more local.

Below you will see Thomas now and how much he has changed over the years, When we have him here we just want him to have fun, he  has a favorite tune/song that I have on my computer, which when he hears it he comes running and wants to sit on my knee and we boogie lol. Thomas has very curly hair much like his dad did lol, Thomas also has this little "fetish" dunno if that's the right word but, Michelle has to stroke her fingers up and down his arms when he is tired, he puts his arms up when he wants it doing :)

As you can see he is growing up fast, he loves spending time with us and when we go to see him he gets very excited and dito when he comes to ours. He is a lovely lad and he is loved very dearly.

 Grandchild No.2

Now it's time for you to meet Jayden, He is a very gorgeous individual always smiling, but leave him in a room with just myself and boy oh boy its the devil...he does nothing but cry and scream, he is a right womens child. He has now crawling and boy does he move, blink and he is across the room lol.
Jayden has straight light hair and is a lovely tanned colour, he tans real easily in the sun and turns a gorgeous colour.

Moment we found out it wasn't a girl :(

When we went for the scans and we found out it wasn't going to be a girl the comment "well you best send it back" came out lol. I know for sure now tho, Chantelle is very happy and she wouldn't change it even if she could. Chantelle has made us very proud and has taken to motherhood very well, she does panic sometimes but always seeks advice from her mother or myself. Jayden was very boring as a baby as all he did was eat, poo and sleep, yer I know that's what babies do...but hey ho ')
I cannot fault her and am very proud of her, she has changed over the years and become very sensible, she still has a potty mouth, but Michelle said that whilst she was with her during the pregnancy she did not swear once..the harshest phrase she used was "Flippen Eck"

As you can see from the pics below Jayden has come on in leaps and bounds now.

Some of the comments in this post have already been mentioned but as I am a proud grandparent it is my right to brag :P

Grandchild No.3

I know right here we are again being told we are grandparents again, only this time its a girl. Clark and Simone had a baby girl, called Iris Wynter Middleton. She was born 6 weeks early and weighed 4lb 4oz, she was born at 0800hrs on Friday 7th April 2017.

Her name comes from a special lady in our families life, and that lady was Michelle's mum, and our childrens grandmother, Iris Middleton (RIP)
